Busy small town diner where the local seem to eat so that must make it a good spot and it was. One waitress, but she worked the room like a professional, keeping the coffee filled checking on the meal. Perfect omelette
The food was excellent and the service was great. Would definitely come back if we are out this way again.
Amazing pie, a slice of Americana! (Updated July 2023: very sadly there is no longer any homemade pie available. This used to be a highlight of our visits to Tupper Lake Have crispy bacon and blueberry pancakes instead)
Good home style breakfast, very good experience, family owned for years!
Hash browns were awesome! Huge pancakes, generous portions. Seemed a bit short staffed on our most recent visit, fall 2023, however still kept the tables moving and food was great. Overall a great spot for a quick diner breakfast.
Nice small place. Gets busy on occasion. All day breakfast. CASH OR CHECK ONLY!! If you have a hankering for some hash browns or if you just want to get some coffee and chat with your friends, Swiss Kitchen is a wonderful place to go. The prices are low and the portions are pretty big. Pancakes are a favourite amongst some regulars. The service is quick. I got my food within 10 minutes of ordering. The waitress, Sarah, greeted me as I walked in the door, gave me about 2 minutes to look over the menu, then came and asked what I would like to drink while I looked the menu over more extensively. Upon ordering a Coke, as they have Coke products not Pepsi, she immediately got me my drink and left me to look over the menu. I ordered my food and she came back out with it shortly later. I was caught off guard by the swiftness of the service so much that she actually apologized for bringing my food so soon. After coming for a while, the other waitresses are all very nice and efficient. The cooks are great. My favourite cook being Julie, who also bakes pies on Thursdays both to sell by the slice or a whole pie to order. 12.oo for a vanilla peanut butter pie. I come here as often as I can to order pies and to get dinner. I brought my girlfriend to The Swiss Kitchen for our first date. She loved it as much as I did. Five stars, easy.
If your looking for a place where you can eat and feel comfortable The Swiss is the place to go. You can roll out of bed with your pj's still on and nobody judge's. It has a great atmosphere, the cooks are absolutely phenomenal! It's just like a home cooked meal!! Portions are pretty decent, depending on who's cooking ,but most of the time they are pretty good. They have reasonable prices for sure! It's just a all in all great place to eat..
